Preston Elections

Preston local elections fortunately did not reflect the disaster of the rest of the country. Although Labour lost a key seat and an exemplary, long serving councillor in Jonathon Saksena to the Tories by just 91 votes, they won another seat over the Liberal Democrats. The Tories however, gained a seat from the Liberal Democrats. The council therefore remains hung with the Labour Party having the most seats at 24. The pproblem is with the Tories at 21 and the Lib Dems at 9, they have formed an alliance which gives the Tories overall control and Labour a battle.
