Mehdi Kazemi, came to the UK from Iran in 2005 to study English. he later discovered his boyfriend had been charged with sodomy and hanged and pleaded asylum which was refused. After reviewing his case and after much pressure and campaigning from LGBT and human rights groups the UK Borders Agency has granted him asylum.
